Preparation
In preparation for the work site we first had to decide who gets what jobs. My job was the safety inspector which means that I am responsible for making sure there are no safety hazards on the worksite. I also enforce safety protocol such as wearing safety googles and gloves and using tools correctly.
The next step we must take in preparation is van proofing, which is where we cover the van we are using to transport us to the work site with plastic and tape so that we don't ruin the car.
Next we go to the tool room to get all the tools we'll need for the work site. Since our project will be replacing two windows, replacing the front door, replacing a kitchen floor, and replacing two panels of a wooden deck, there was an abundant amount of tools we needed.
Team Building
When we weren't preparing for the work site, our crew participated in various fun team building exercises and games such as zombie tag. It was a fun day and I grew closer to my crew.
